Liverpool fans say same thing after Chelsea and Leicester 'brawl'

Liverpool fans have been reacting to the Premier League clash between Leicester City and Chelsea.

The Reds are in a battle with the aforementioned clubs for a place in the Premier League’s top four, with the race going down to the wire.

Chelsea secured a 2-1 win over the Foxes to move up to third place and one point ahead of their opponents, four ahead of Liverpool and therefore securing Champions League football for next season.

That result leaves Liverpool in fifth place, three points adrift of the top four places with two games remaining.

Jurgen Klopp’s side take on Burnley on Wednesday night, before welcoming Crystal Palace to Anfield on Sunday where 10,000 fans will be in attendance.

One incident that caught the eye of Liverpool fans was an altercation on the touchline involving players and staff from both teams.

Ricardo Pereira fouled Ben Chilwell, before Antonio Rudiger pushed the Leicester full-back which started the altercation.

Plenty of Liverpool fans have taken to social media to say that both teams should be deducted points, some may be genuine while others may be rather tongue in cheek.

Here is a selection of what they had to say.

The ECHO's chief LFC writer Ian Doyle joked: "Both Leicester and Chelsea should have points deducted for this brawl. I'd recommend 20 just to be on the safe side."

LFCZA: “Points deduction surely.”

Stephen Davies: “Dock them both points.”

Rebecca Roffe: “The only fair solution.”

Josh: “Give them all reds.”

Viktor Fagerstrom: “Ref I say do what's right. Red cards to everyone.”

JeremyLatzke: “It’s the only fair decision.”
