Liverpool fans rejoice 'habit' that defines the club after win over Everton

Liverpool fans have been rejoicing in the wake of a memorable derby day victory that saw the Reds seal their place in the FA Cup fourth round at the expense of Everton.

Jurgen Klopp’s decision to play a team consisting mostly of fringe players and youngsters was justified, as his matchday gamble proved a winning one courtesy of a Curtis Jones wondergoal.

It was a thrilling glimpse into the future of a Liverpool side which seemingly can do no wrong, and it’s safe to say that Reds’ fans are loving the manner of Sunday’s victory over their Merseyside neighbours.

Speaking on the Post-Game edition of the Blood Red Podcast , host Guy Clarke shone a light on some of the best fan feedback, as the Anfield faithful took to Facebook to have their say on a fantastic Liverpool performance.

As posted on the Blood Red Podcast Facebook page , supporter Bob O’Hanlon couldn’t contain his joy at both the result and individual performances.

He said: “What a result that is! Positives right across the pitch.

“Origi and Lallana led by example - Gomez was simply majestic, Chirivella dictated the game in midfield, Phillips outmuscled Richarlson all game and Curtis Jones, what a goal.

“Larouci settled in well as the game progressed, it was a very impressive debut for Minamino, and when they did threaten, Adrian was excellent.

“The only dampener on the night was the injury to Milner, apart from that, happy days.”

Fellow fan Andrea Johnson paid tribute to Liverpool’s winning mentality and shared disappointment at James Milner’s injury early in the first-half.

“This club just just doesn’t know how to lose,” he said. “Winning really is a habit. The young lads were so impressive.

“Let’s hope Millie’s injury is not too bad - what a time to be a Red.

“You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

But it was Liverpool’s dominance against a woeful Everton that was not lost on supporter Keith Holden.

“If there was ever a game that showed the gulf between the Reds and the Toffees, it was today,” he said.

“Even with changes and a very inexperienced XI, we thoroughly deserved the win.

“It was also great to see a young Scouser score a worldie to settle the game.

“This team is unstoppable whatever XI we play.”
