Liverpool fans react to picture of Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez at Anfield

Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez are back on Merseyside ahead of Liverpool's Champions League semi-final clash with Barcelona.

The Catalan giants thumped the Reds 3-0 in the first leg of the last-8 tie at the Nou Camp last week, and look certain to finish the job at Anfield this Tuesday.

Ahead of the game the Barcelona players visited Liverpool's historic stadium, and Coutinho and Suarez had their picture taken in one of the corridors inside the ground.

But Liverpool supporters aren't best pleased with the picture, which sees the duo posing alongside the Reds' badge, and are making their voices heard on social media.

On Twitter, one fan wrote: "They're full taking the p*** at this point," while another added: "Snakes in the building."

Both Suarez and Coutinho are in contention to start for Barcelona this Tuesday, and will likely receive a reception of one kind or another from the Kop.

Ahead of their return, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson told the club's official website: "There's no room for sentiment in football and particularly in contests that mean as much as this one.

"But it will be great to see Luis Suarez and Phil Coutinho back at Anfield.

"I have no idea if either will start the game or not, but they'll be with our visitors and I'm sure for them the emotion of coming back here will be strong, especially as it's the first time both of them will have played here against Liverpool since leaving the club."
