Liverpool fans react to Cardiff City's Mohamed Salah 'dive' tweet

Liverpool fans have reacted in unison to a social media post by Cardiff City during the Reds' 2-0 win in Wales on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp 's men moved two points clear of Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title thanks to goals from Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner.

The second goal of the game came after Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was fouled in the box, with Milner duly dispatching the penalty to seal all three points for the visitors.

Whilst most of the post-match chatter revolved around the composure of the Liverpool side, Cardiff City's original reaction to the incident left fans of the Reds bemused.

Sean Morrison clearly fouled Salah in the box. But Cardiff's official Twitter account appeared to suggest that Salah had dived.

Or, in their words, "jump[ed] to the floor under pressure".

Liverpool fans found that post just a little funny and were quick to respond...

The 2-0 win leaves Liverpool on top of the Premier League table once again - with the pressure back on City.

City travel to Old Trafford on Wednesday night to take on Manchester United, which is their game in hand in the league.

The Reds will be hoping for a favour from their old foe to give them the edge in this season's remarkable title race.
