Liverpool fans rave over Ibrahima Konate moment during debut vs Stuttgart

Liverpool fans finally got to see the first signing of the summer in action as Ibrahima Konate made his debut for the Reds in their 1-1 draw with VfB Stuttgart.

For many, it was the first sight of the £36m man, who Jurgen Klopp pried away from RB Leipzig shortly after the conclusion of the Premier League season.

But in his first appearance for the Reds, fans pointed out a "frightening" attribute from the France U21 Defender.

There were moments when the 22-year-old was forced to track back and thwart the danger. On one occasion he stormed back to deny the Stuttgart forward from having a clean sight on goal.

His burst of pace and recovery had Liverpool fans in awe on social media.

Konate looked assured on his first appearance for the club and could be set for more minutes when Liverpool face Mainz on Friday.

Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk continue build their fitness in preparation for the start of the league campaign and were forced to watch on from the side lines.

Sadio Mane poked home to level the scoring against Stuttgart, rounding off a superb move from the Reds which saw Kostas Tsmikas lay the equaliser on a plate for the Senegalese international after Phillip Forster had put the German side ahead.
