Liverpool fans pick dream kit supplier amid Nike rumours

It was reported this week that Liverpool are in "advanced talks" with Nike over signing a new long-term kit deal.

New Balance is the Reds current supplier, but that deal - worth £45million per year - is set to expire at the end of next season.

And it is no secret Liverpool are seeking to ascertain one of the most financially lucrative kit deals in history.

ESPNFC reported Liverpool were "expected to exceed the value of Manchester United's £750million agreement with Adidas and become the biggest ever struck by a Premier League club".

The report has stimulated a lot of conversation among supporters and many have taken to social media to discuss the potential deals and which they would prefer.

Liverpool have worn New Balance shirts since 2015/16 and lots of fans showed love for the Boston-based brand.

One supporter said: "New Balance jerseys are nice, Nike nice too!" While another urged: "NB new contract please".

The Redmen TV asked supporters for their opinions on the rumours, and they received some interesting responses.

Many fans want the club to choose the deal which will make them the most money.

While one supporter poignantly wrote: "It's a kit as long as it's got the liverbird on it's all good".

ESPN were reportedly told New Balance have a "matching clause" within their contract which enables them to retain and extend their deal by equalling any rival offer.

Therefore Liverpool may yet wear the American brand beyond next season.
