Liverpool fans party through the night after Premier League title win

Liverpool fans partied through the night to celebrate winning the Premier League.

Supporters across the city continued to celebrate until the sun came up as songs and cheering were heard for miles.

Large crowds in Liverpool city centre didn't disperse until the early hours of Friday, while groups of elated fans stayed outside Anfield for hours after the win.

Chanting rang out across the globe as millions of Reds took to the streets internationally to mark the occasion.

Liverpool was a sea of red shirts and emotional faces showing just how important this win was for fans.

At one point, a spine-tingling rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone was sung out by the thousands who based their celebrations on the steps of the Bombed Out Church on Leece Street.

Celebrations also took place at Anfield, where police closed roads as fans lit flares and sang outside the stadium.

And Seel Street was a sea of red while diehard fans in suburban areas also gathered to celebrate the win.

While the fans partied the night away, the team weren't far behind them.

As the time ticked away at the end of the match, the players counted down to their triumph.

Many of the players could be seen in a video clip, including Virgil van Dijk, captain Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, Andy Robertson and more.

And wild scenes of celebration ensued as the squad sang "campiones, campiones".

Jurgen Klopp cried tears of joy as he paid tribute to previous Liverpool legends like Kenny Dalglish and Steven Gerrard.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "To become champions with this club, knowing how much Kenny supported us, this is for you as well, Kenny. You had to wait another 30 years so your club could win it.

"This is for Stevie (Gerrard), who had to wait a long time and now it is for all."
