Liverpool fans notice what Joel Matip did when Mohamed Salah scored wonder goal

Liverpool welcomed Manchester City to Anfield on Sunday and while the highly anticipated game certainly didn't disappoint, Jurgen Klopp's side would've been left frustrated that they didn't walk away with all three points.

After a difficult first 45 minutes, the Reds looked a different team second-half and twice they took the lead against Pep Guardiola's men.

Sadio Mane was first to score for Liverpool, before Phil Foden equalised shortly after.

Mohamed Salah then restored the hosts' lead with a solo goal that arguably deserved to be the winner.

The Egyptian escaped the challenges of Rodri and Bernardo Silva before he tricked Aymeric Laporte with his movement in the box and slotted it beyond Ederson.

City responded through Kevin De Bruyne to ensure things ended 1-1 at the final whistle, but Liverpool fans spotted what Joel Matip did during the celebrations after Salah's goal.

While the 29-year-old was swamped by his teammates, Matip was a short distance behind with his head in his hands.

It seems the Cameroon international couldn't quite believe what he'd just seen from Salah.

A supporter captured the moment on social media and it was also picked up by the infamous 'No Context Joel Matip' Twitter account, which boasts over 80,000 followers.

Salah's goal against the Manchester club was his ninth in all competitions so far this season.

He's found the back of the net in all but one of the nine games he's featured in, with Burnley the only side he's failed to score against this term.
