Liverpool fans notice what Harvey Elliott and Jurgen Klopp did last weekend

Liverpool fans spotted a touching moment between Jurgen Klopp and Harvey Elliott this weekend.

On Saturday, Elliott was present at Anfield, walking on the field during pre-game warm-ups, before being seen embracing with Jurgen Klopp.

Despite his prolonged spell on the sidelines coming at a time when he had just broken into the Liverpool side, Elliott has remained positive across social media and allowed fans to watch his progress.

Earlier this week , he posted a video showing him jogging the width of a swimming pool at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby.

The young midfielder made four appearances for Liverpool at the start of the campaign and was enjoying his third consecutive league start under Jurgen Klopp before his injury.

However, there is optimism Elliott will feature again for the Reds before the end of the season.

Following his surgery last month, club doctor Jim Moxon spoke to Liverpoolfc.com about what fans could expect from the player’s recovery.

“We were able to reduce the dislocation immediately on the pitch and Harvey had surgery today to repair the fracture and ligaments damaged in the incident,” he said.

“The operation was a success so his comeback starts now.

“We won’t put pressure on him by setting a specific timeframe beyond being able to say with confidence we expect him to feature again later in the season following our rehab programme.”
