Liverpool fans notice something different about Trent Alexander-Arnold's goal

Liverpool took the lead against Crystal Palace in spectacular fashion this evening thanks to Trent Alexander-Arnold's stunning free-kick from about 25 yards.

Virgil van Dijk was fouled outside the area, and the young full-back stepped up with a brilliant strike that soared into the top corner.

But there was something different about the goal that does not normally take place when the Reds score a home goal.

With no fans inside Anfield, music was played to celebrate the goal putting Liverpool in front - and supporters were not very impressed.

@DeanCoombes tweeted: 'Who allowed goal music in Anfield.. YUCK'.

And @LouisSuddaby23 said: 'Goal music at Anfield. Never thought I’d see the day'.

While @ChrisEddy_7 added: 'Erghhhh music for Goals at Anfield' and plenty more followed suit.

Reds fans certainly were not fans of the music - but were, of course, very happy to have seen their team move in front in the match.

Liverpool are within touching distance of confirming their Premier League title, with Manchester City playing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow night.

Liverpool knew a win over Palace, but Manchester City dropping points tomorrow, would confirm their title, while it could also be won at the Etihad Stadium next Thursday night.
