Liverpool fans notice Sky Sports commentary error during win at Sheffield United

Liverpool supporters have been reacting to a repeated commentary mistake during their side’s 2-0 win over Sheffield United.

The Reds returned to winning ways at Bramall Lane thanks to goals from Curtis Jones and a deflected Roberto Firmino strike - which will go down as an own goal.

It was much better from the champions as they’ve stopped their four-match domestic losing streak, against the Premier League’s bottom side.

The first-half consisted of an array of chances for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

But Aaron Ramsdale put in an inspired performance to keep the visitors at bay in Sheffield.

However, Jones broke the deadlock after some good work from Trent Alexander-Arnold on 48 minutes before an own goal ensured the three points later on.

Alisson was understandably absent from the Reds’ side after his father tragically died earlier in the week.

Adrian took his place in goal, with Caoimhin Kelleher still unavailable for selection.

But the Sky Sports commentator couldn’t get to grips with it.

During the commentary Adrian was referred to as ‘Alisson’ numerous times and here’s how social media have reacted to it:

Liverpool now have the best part of three days to prepare for their next Premier League outing as Chelsea come to Anfield on Thursday.

The match on Merseyside may have massive implications for who finishes in the top four and if the Reds can secure three points against the west London side, then they will climb above them.

Klopp will be hoping that Fabinho and Diogo Jota will be available for selection as they edge closer to full fitness.
