Liverpool fans mixed on Luis Suarez transfer verdict amid Barcelona exit news

Liverpool fans have been reacting to the latest Luis Suarez transfer news as the striker reportedly edges closer to leaving Barcelona.

The Spanish giants suffered a hugely embarrassing end to the 2019/20 campaign after not only missing out on the La Liga title to rivals Real Madrid, but losing 8-2 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Former Everton boss Ronald Koeman has now taken over from Quique Setien and is prepared to shake things up at Barcelona.

This has included reportedly telling ex- Liverpool star Suarez that he has no future at the Camp Nou ahead of next season, according to RAC1.

The 33-year-old still has a year left on his current deal but Barcelona are said to be willing to write that off and make him a free transfer for another club.

Such a development has naturally piqued the interest of Liverpool fans and they have been sharing their thoughts on whether they would take Suarez back.

It's safe to say that the reaction to the Suarez news is mixed. As the poll below which thousands have voted in shows, both the yes and no answers have 46% of the vote each, with 8% undecided.

As for what Suarez did at Liverpool during his time between 2011 to 2014, his on-field ability will always be remembered.

Suarez bagged over 30 goals in all competitions in back to back seasons in his final two campaigns before joining Barcelona in 2014.

The Uruguayan has since enjoyed a brilliant career with Barcelona, scoring 198 goals in six seasons with the Spanish side, including 21 goals in 39 appearances during the 2019/20 campaign.
