Liverpool fans make transfer point after Xherdan Shaqiri goal for Switzerland

Liverpool fans believe Xherdan Shaqiri may have added to his transfer value after scoring a screamer for Switzerland at Euro 2020.

The winger faces an uncertain future at the club after slipping down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp last season.

Shaqiri struggled for minutes after deciding against leaving the club last summer despite interest from multiple clubs in Italy.

The 29-year-old could decide to leave in search of regular first-team football elsewhere and confirmed he will speak to his agent after the conclusion of the European Championships.

Switzerland are fighting to qualify from the group stage and Shaqiri delivered when it mattered with a fantastic goal on his weak foot against Turkey.

Liverpool fans believe his wonder strike may have increased the amount any interested clubs will be willing to pay during the summer transfer window.

Shaqiri has two years left on his Liverpool contract and could be sold to generate funds for Klopp to strengthen other areas of his squad after confirming the signing of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.

On his future, Shaqiri said: "At the moment, I don’t really want to talk about it.

"I have a contract there and after the Euros, of course, I will talk to my agent. We will look at the situation and then we will decide how to proceed."
