Liverpool fans make same Jordan Henderson point after England offside decision

Liverpool fans have been reacting to Jordan Henderson’s disallowed goal for England.

The Reds captain had to settle for a place on the bench for the Three Lions’ European Championship group stage clash against the Czech Republic.

Henderson was brought on at half time by Gareth Southgate in place of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

England won the game 1-0 to top Group D thanks to a goal from Raheem Sterling early on in the first half.

Henderson thought he scored a second goal for England in the second half, but his effort was ruled out for offside.

It would have been Henderson’s first goal for his country, in what was his 60th international cap.

Plenty of Liverpool fans took to social media to express their disappointment over seeing Henderson denied his first England goal.

Here is a selection of what they had to say.

Marco: “Shame it was offside, but for a moment he got to cheer.”

Latch: “Hendo has been really good since coming on, made some nice passes and the offside goal (unlucky).”

Trentinho: “SOOO CLOSE Hendo offside unlucky.”

David: “If that Jordan Henderson goal wasn't offside…”

MissBeer: “Oh Hendo wish that could have been your goal.”

Slider_Myths: “Poor Hendo. Finally gets a goal, but it’s offside. Love the man.”

TheKop.Com: “Gutted for Hendo. Offside given for his goal.”

SirLeonP: “Offside flag ruined Hendo moment.”
