Liverpool fans make major change to iconic banner ahead of Norwich clash

Liverpool supporters have paid tribute to Jurgen Klopp by unveiling a new banner on the Kop ahead of the Premier League season.

The Reds boss, who led his side to the Champions League back in June, has been recognised by having his image included on a regular Kop flag alongside some iconic managers in Liverpool 's history.

Klopp's face adorns the new flag alongside Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan, Kenny Dalglish and Rafa Benitez.

Benitez was famously the last manager to win the European Cup as Liverpool boss, beating AC Milan on penalties after a 3-3 draw in Istanbul in May 2005.

However after leading his own team to the biggest prize in club football via a 2-0 win over Tottenham in Madrid on June 1, Klopp has now been added to the famous banner.

The new image was sat in the Kop before the Reds' Premier League curtain raiser with newly-promoted Norwich City.
