Liverpool fans make Luis Suarez point after PSG drop Kylian Mbappe hint

Liverpool fans have not been deterred by images of Kylian Mbappe modelling Paris Saint-Germain's new 2021/22 home kit.

The Frenchman has one year on his PSG contract, though the Ligue 1 club remain hopeful he will sign fresh terms after tying down Neymar last week.

Mbappe is interesting Real Madrid as well as the Reds, reports claim, but Liverpool supporters online are fearful that the 22-year-old has dropped a hint about his immediate future.

The World Cup winner has posed as the face of PSG's new home kit, which was launched on Friday.

With Mbappe taking centre stage on the promotions, Liverpool fans have eased fears a summer switch won't materialise by pointing out Luis Suarez modelled the Reds' 2014/15 kit before leaving to join Barcelona.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp recently admitted that "not a lot" would be possible in the post-pandemic transfer market.

“Yeah, not a lot," he said.

“It is always how it is. What happens depends on the business, if someone wants to leave, if we sell, stuff like this. That’s why we can never really plan early.

“Not playing [in the] Champions League [next season] doesn’t help obviously, but it is not our biggest problem.

“The market will be really strange. I hear a lot about big-money moves, is Mbappe going or not? Haaland, Sancho, these kinds of things. I don’t see that happening a lot this summer because the football world is still not in the same place it was before.

“Getting players back [from injury] makes us already better. These are our first transfers. We don’t know exactly when that will happen, but it will happen. All the rest, we have to see.

“If we don’t go to the Champions League [next season] it is not good but there is still a chance. But if not, then we have to deal with that.”
