Liverpool fans make Fabinho point about team news vs Chelsea

Some Liverpool supporters are disappointed with Jurgen Klopp's decision to pick Fabinho in defence against Chelsea.

The team sheet has been released for the huge clash at Anfield and the good news is that Fabinho and Alisson Becker return to Klopp 's side. Diogo Jota is also in the squad for the first time since he suffered a knee injury in December.

However, some Reds supporters are disappointed with Fabinho playing in the centre of defence, rather than his orthodox midfield position. The Brazilian has played there for the majority of the season due to Liverpool's mass injury problems at the back and has acquitted himself very well.

But with Ozan Kabak and Nat Phillips keeping a clean sheet in Sunday's win over Sheffield United, there was a feeling that Klopp may keep the same two for this evening's game with Chelsea.

This is how some Liverpool supporters reacted to the line-up that Klopp chose.

If Liverpool can beat their top-four rivals this evening, then they will move into the Champions League places. It's a huge game for the Reds, who are looking to put their woeful form at Anfield behind them and end their losing run of four games.

Here is how Liverpool line up for the clash: Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Kabak, Andy Robertson, Gini Wijnaldum, Curtis Jones, Thiago Alcantara, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino.

Jota's return to the bench is a huge boost for the Reds as well, with the Portugal forward showcasing his talents in front of goal prior to the injury he picked up before the turn of the year.
