Liverpool fans make big Harvey Elliott prediction as Blackburn loan ends in style

Harvey Elliott has unquestionably made the most of his loan move to Ewood Park this season.

Blackburn rounded off their 2020/21 Championship campaign with a 5-2 home win over Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon, which ensured they finished in 15th place in the table.

Elliott came off the bench after 58 minutes and scored a wonderful goal to ensure he finished the season with seven Championship strikes to his name.

He is only 18-years-old, yet just four players who are under-23 scored more goals than he did at that level this season.

Even more notable is his tally of 11 assists, which saw him finish 2020/21 joint-third in the Championship standings alongside fellow Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson.

Elliott struck up a particularly strong relationship with Adam Armstrong, setting him up for a total of five goals. Only two combinations in the division were more fruitful in this campaign.

It remains to be seen what the immediate future holds for Elliott at Anfield, but his efforts this season will have given Jurgen Klopp plenty of food for thought as he begins planning for the 2021/22 campaign.

Kopites seem in little doubt that the young man is a special talent.

Next season promises to be a very exciting one for Elliott, and he certainly looks ready for further opportunities with Liverpool.
