Liverpool fans love what Thiago did on the touchline against Burnley

Liverpool supporters spotted what Thiago Alcantara did in the first-half against Burnley on Wednesday evening.

In a massive match for the Reds in Lancashire, it was a rather nervous start for the visiting team, who needed maximum points to ensure they were in pole position to secure a top four spot ahead of the final round of fixtures at the weekend.

Jurgen Klopp kept his faith with Thiago for the game, who came to Anfield with sky-high expectations after a glistening career at the likes of Barcelona Bayern Munich.

The 30-year-old Spanish midfielder suffered a slow start to life on Merseyside, though, which was due to a host of complicated factors.

On his Merseyside derby debut, Thiago picked up an injury after a challenge from Everton forward Richarlison in a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.

The Spaniard didn't feature again for Liverpool until over two months later, where he came on in the second-half in a goalless draw against Newcastle United.

Now, though, Thiago is starting to look like the player Reds supporters thought they were getting when he arrived from the Bundesliga last summer.

In Liverpool's away clash against Burnley, Thiago flicked the ball past Dwight McNeil, which went round the Clarets star, with the Reds midfielder picking up the ball on the other side.

Reds supporters have taken to Twitter to share their delight with what the Spain international did.

Thiago recently scored his first goal for the club in a 2-0 win over Southampton at Anfield and promised he will look to contribute even more in an attacking sense.

"One hundred percent, I don't score many, but it will not be the last," he told LFCTV following the victory earlier this month.

The former Barcelona star has started the last six games for the Reds in all competitions.
