Liverpool fans love Mohamed Salah's reaction to sharing Golden Boot

Mohamed Salah had to settle for a share of the Golden Boot as Liverpool finished second in the Premier League.

The Reds went into their final day clash with Wolves desperate for title rivals Manchester City to slip up at Brighton .

Despite falling behind at the Amex, City went onto win 4-1 while Liverpool beat Wolves 2-0 at Anfield.

Sadio Mane scored twice for the Reds to ensure he drew level with teammate Salah on 22 goals.

And their tally was matched by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who added two more to his total in Arsenal's win at Burnley .

It ensured a three-way tie for the Golden Boot, although Salah does retain it after plundering 32 goals last season.

The Egyptian's daughter Makka joined him on the pitch at full-time for the lap of honour and delighted Liverpool fans - and her father - by scoring in front of the Kop.

And Salah shared an image on social media of him talking to his daughter as he held the Golden Boot.

“Yes, I know we have one at home. This is a new one", he wrote.

Unsurprisingly the post went down well among Liverpool fans as they came to terms with a second-place finish.

One Twitter user labelled Salah 'King of Golden Boots' while others joked he was a "two-season wonder" after doubts following his stunning debut campaign at Anfield.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp also reacted to the tie for the individual prize, having managed Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund before linking up with Salah and Mane on Merseyside.

"Auba too? Do they have three boots? It is good. They are all my players," he said.
