Liverpool fans love Javier Mascherano's simple tweet after Leicester victory

Trent Alexander-Arnold produced one of the stand-out performances of the season as Liverpool ran out 4-0 winners against Leicester City.

A brace from Roberto Firmino, a penalty from James Milner and an Alexander-Arnold strike ensured a 4-0 win for Jurgen Klopp's side, moving them 13 points clear of the Foxes at the top of the Premier League table, with a game in hand.

The champions of the world made light work of their nearest rivals, who hadn't lost at home since September but were second best on Boxing Day.

It was a superb afternoon for the English right-back, who produced two exquisite assists as well as a goal at the King Power Stadium.

That's left Liverpool fans raving about their 21-year-old star and a former Red has also chipped in with the praise.

Javier Mascherano, now plying his trade for Estudiantes de La Plata in his native country, posted a simple yet effective tweet.

The former Barcelona midfield anchor tweeted: "Alexander-Arnold", after his man-of-the-match display. Short but sweet from the diminutive tough-tackler.

With Manchester City not in action until Friday, away at Wolves, Liverpool's gap stands at 13 points between their nearest rival, with a game in hand.
