Liverpool fans issue same Pep Guardiola dig as new footage emerges from Man City defeat

Liverpool fans have issued a dig at Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola after new footage emerged of him supposedly 'playing up to the cameras' in the defeat at Anfield.

City were hoping to cut the gap between themselves and league leaders Liverpool on Sunday but instead suffered a 3-1 loss.

Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane scored for the hosts, while Bernardo Silva added a late consolation goal for Guardiola's men.

The result has left City nine points behind Liverpool, while Jurgen Klopp's side are eight points clear at the top.

Guardiola, however, managed to steal some headlines for his animated actions on the touchline following a couple of penalty claims which went against his side during the contest.

Further footage has emerged of Guardiola giving some intense orders to defender Angelino during the half-time break.

The Spaniard joined his City players on their way out of the dressing room when he spotted a camera filming him and the team.

Liverpool fans are now claiming that Guardiola took this opportune moment to play to the TV audience. He barked out some second-half tactics to the left-back after pulling him back for a second just after 10 minutes and 45 seconds into the video below.

The footage appeared on Liverpool's YouTube and has been viewed over 1.4 million times.

"Guardiola spots a camera," one Liverpool fan said. "You can guess what happens next."

Another explained: "When Guardiola sees a camera."

"The moment Pep noticed a camera he had to give a one-on-one," another Liverpool supporter suggests.

A fourth claims: "Inside his head, 'OK pretend to give some advice so I look intelligent."

Klopp has stopped celebrating in front of the Kop end at Anfield while cameras are near him after he too was criticised by fans for 'playing up to the cameras'.
