Liverpool fans hijack Perrie Edwards video with the same message

Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards was inundated with messages from Liverpool fans on Thursday night during her Instagram live announcement.

The popstar girlfriend of Reds midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain went live at 7pm to promote the group's new single Break Up Song which is set to be released on Friday.

Perrie, who is self-isolating with Oxlade-Chamberlain in their London home, announced the couple had just bought a new dog Travis.

And during the almost 30-minute long video fans continuously bombarded Perrie with messages to see the Liverpool midfielder on screen.

Eventually the 26-year-old succumbed and flipped the camera give fans a glimpse of Oxlade-Chamberlain "chilling" on his phone.

Earlier this week, Perrie opened up on life in self-isolation with her footballer boyfriend.

She told Kiss Breakfast: "I’ve been singing a little bit, I’ve been cooking a lot because my boyfriend is never full, like try isolating with an athlete!

"Trying to ration your food and every five seconds 'I’m hungry! I’m hungry again. Can I have some food now?' I’m like, seriously?

"I’ve been baking, which I never do. I baked a banana bread cake the other day.

"It’s the best cake nobody will ever be able to taste. We were FaceTiming all our family like 'if only you could taste this right now'."

Asked whether the pair had rowed with one another, she added: "I’m probably this close to burning, or just cutting straight through the wire of the PlayStation.

"There’s going to be a situation here. Honestly, even just sat in the lounge trying to Netflix and chill there’s just 'It’s behind you mate behind you urghhh'.

"I’m like 'Stop with the PlayStation for two seconds!'"
