Liverpool fans hijack John Henry's latest tweet

Liverpool fans have been reacting to a tweet sent by the club’s principal owner John W. Henry.

Fenway Sports Group chief Henry has been the principal owner of the Reds since the club’s takeover back in 2020.

Along with owning Liverpool, Henry also has Major League Baseball outfit the Boston Red Box on his C.V. as well as local newspaper the Boston Globe.

On Friday, it was announced that the paper had won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for the 27th time.

Henry took to Twitter to congratulate the newspaper for their achievement, saying: “Congratulations to a great newspaper serving our community!”

After Henry sent the tweet, plenty of Liverpool fans took the opportunity to reply with some rather predictable transfer-related messages.

Here is a selection of what they had to say.

LFC_Brett: “How about you congratulate Klopp for getting us into the top four by signing some players?”

Dio: “How about backing Klopp with some signings.”

Christo: “Yeah, give him some money to buy some players.”

Callum: “How about some signings.”

Dan: “Hello Mr Henry, I wish you a very pleasant sign some players”

Chris Gerrish: “Can you sign some players now please. Mbappe, Raphinha, Tielemans. Would be great, thanks John.”
