Liverpool fans have predicted Harvey Elliott will eventually wear number seven at Anfield after his new contract.
Liverpool have confirmed Elliott has signed a new long-term deal with the club.
The 18-year-old penned a five-year contract after impressing during a loan spell with Blackburn Rovers last season where he scored seven goals and notched 11 assists.
Elliott is set to link up with the Liverpool first-team squad for their pre-season tour of Austria where he will hope to impress Jurgen Klopp and earn minutes when the Premier League season begins.
The winger's new deal has fans speculating about a change of number for the current 67 ahead of the new season.
Liverpool fans have taken to social media to predict a switch to the number seven for Elliott.
However, it is unlikely that we will see Elliott trot out in the number seven at Anfield next season, as the ever-consistent veteran Milner currently holds that shirt.
But it seems many fans would have no issue if the switch took place in the future.
