Liverpool fans hail Curtis Jones' performance as young Reds come from behind to beat RB Salzburg

Liverpool fans have been hailing the performance of Curtis Jones after the young Reds came from behind to beat RB Salzburg in the UEFA Youth League.

Barry Lewtas' side trailed 2-1 with 12 minutes remaining at the Totally Wicked Stadium in St Helens, but goals from Neco Williams, Jones and a Rhian Brewster penalty completed the turnaround to hand Liverpool their first win in this season's competition.

Jones' goal was the pick of the bunch for Lewtas' side, continuing what has been a superb few weeks for the 18-year-old.

After making his first team debut against Wolves in last season's FA Cup, Jones was handed his second senior start against MK Dons in the Carabao Cup last Wednesday, before scoring twice as Liverpool's Under-23s draw with Arsenal at Boreham Wood on Saturday afternoon.

And Reds supporters reacting to the game were quick to praise the midfielder in the immediate aftermath on Twitter.

Jones is expected to be back in action for the young Reds when they take on Wigan Athletic in the Premier League Cup on Sunday.
