Liverpool fans furious with Gary Neville and Martin Tyler commentary about Mohamed Salah

Liverpool fans have taken to social media to take aim at comments made by Gary Neville.

Neville was commentating on the Reds’ Premier League clash against Tottenham at Anfield, when he appeared to aim a sly dig at Mohamed Salah over his ability to stay on his feet inside the box.

Salah took the ball on his chest inside the Spurs box before shrugging off the challenge of Davinson Sánchez and letting fly with an effort that was saved by Paulo Gazzaniga.

But following the chance, Martin Tyler, also commenting alongside the former United man, quickly commented: “Mo Salah has been known to go to ground in the opposition penalty area.."

With Neville quickly adding: “It was theatrical from Salah.”

Tyler then appeared to aim another dig at the Egyptian, by saying: “He did stay on his feet this time.”

The exchange was quickly picked up on by Reds supporters who took to Twitter to vent their anger over the comments.

Salah had the last laugh though, with his penalty 15 minutes from time handing Jurgen Klopp's side a 2-1 win.
