Liverpool fans fume over BT Sport YouTube live stream for Champions League final

Liverpool fans are furious about BT Sport's Champions League final live stream on YouTube.

The broadcaster, which holds the exclusive rights to both Europa League and Champions League matches in the UK, is screening the match against Tottenham in full, online, for free .

However, supporters are furious with the , with many unable to keep up with the action.

Both the Reds and Spurs are known for the pacey players but viewers don't believe they're moving so fast that they are literally a blur on their screens.

One supporter tweeted: "The YouTube stream is like streaming in 2004. Absolute disgrace" and another said "If they could all just stand still, this would be great."

There was someone on Twitter who posted a possible reason behind the issues viewers were having on the stream.

He said: "If you're watching the Champions League final on YouTube and wondering why the video's all juddery: BT Sport are filming at 25fps but streaming at 30fps. Every fifth frame is being sent twice. It's a really basic error that a novice streamer would spot, but somehow they haven't."

However they then posted update, considering that it could be an issue with YouTube itself rather than BT Sport's setup in Madrid.

BT Sport later tweeted on their official account advising viewers who are experiencing problems to watch the stream on btsport.com/final or download the BT Sport app to their device, Samsung TV or games console.

Mo Salah scored a penalty to give Liverpool the lead inside the first five minutes.
