Pep Guardiola has revealed that Leroy Sane has rejected several contract offers at Manchester City, which has attracted the attention of Liverpool fans.
The Germany international’s current deal is due to expire next summer, and he has been linked a move to Bayern Munich in recent months.
City have attempted to persuade Sane to remain at the Etihad Stadium, but Guardiola has been forced to accept that he will depart the club at some point in the next 12 months.
"He wants to join another club," admitted Guardiola. "I don't know if he will leave this summer or next summer when his contract expires."
This news has caught the interest of Reds fans, who have made no secret of their desire to see Sane move to Anfield.
After missing out on Timo Werner, many supporters would like to see Jurgen Klopp make a move to sign Sane this summer.
