Liverpool fans have apparently rebranded the Margaret Thatcher Square in Madrid ahead of the Champions League final against Tottenham.
The Reds decided the rename the plaza Jeremy Corbyn Square over that of the divisive former prime minister.
A group of Liverpool fans are said to have "taken over" the tiny square on Thursday evening, covering the 7ft high sign with pieces of A4 paper bearing the name of the Labour leader, wrapped in plastic sleeves and fixed with cable ties.
It happened a stone's throw from Plaza de Colon, the official Tottenham fan zone.
The Spanish capital named the square after Mrs Thatcher in 2014 and just a year later Madrid Mayor Manuela Carmena proposed changing the name following a backlash.
While the name has remained in place, football fans seemed to take matters into their own hands last night.
The former Conservative PM is particularly unpopular in Liverpool over her treatment of the city in the 1980s.
Paul Doherty, from Walton, was among fans who renamed the square.
He told the Liverpool ECHO: "They commemorate thatcher in Madrid but they don’t really understand what she did to the city and our people.
"Liverpool is Labour, always has been always will be, so we decided to commemorate that with Jezza here."
