Liverpool fans celebrate in the streets of Madrid after Champions League Final triumph

Liverpool fans will be partying long into the night in Madrid after the Reds secured their sixth European Cup title.

Jurgen Klopp's men secured the ultimate form of redemption for their defeat in the 2018 final, beating Premier League rivals Tottenham 2-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano .

Goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi were enough to hand the Reds their first European trophy in 14 years since that memorable night in Istanbul.

And their fans made sure they marked the occasion with an unforgettable celebration, with the players lifting Jurgen Klopp aloft and throwing the German coach in the air in front of the Liverpool supporters.

Following the on-pitch celebrations, which included a firework display and You'll Never Walk Alone on repeat, the fans who made the trip to the Spanish capital without a ticket celebrated in the official Liverpool fan park outside the stadium.

Supporters who were inside the arena soon flooded the streets in droves to join them, with thousands cheering on their heroes as Madrid soon became overrun by jubilant Liverpudlians.

It was a fitting end to an impressive season for Liverpool, who missed out on the domestic title by a single point, after the agony of their 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the 2018 final.
