Liverpool fans celebrate in perfect fashion after Roberto Firmino’s winner at Wolves

There were joyous scenes among the travelling Kop after Roberto Firmino continued his away-day heroics to fire Liverpool to a 2-1 win at Wolves– and a huge step closer to the Premier League title.

The Reds looked set to drop points for only the second time in this remarkable season after Raul Jimenez cancelled out Jordan Henderson’s first-half opener.

But with six minutes of normal time remaining Firmino took a pass from captain Henderson before shifting the ball from right foot to left and blasting it into the top corner.

It was the brilliant Brazilian’s 10th goal of the season– all of which, incredibly, have come away from Anfield.

It means Liverpool have now won 22 of the 23 league games they have played  – and, more importantly, it means their lead over second-placed Manchester City now stands at 16 points.

And jubilant Reds fans at Molineux celebrated in the perfect fashion – with the ‘Si Senor’ song that will ring around Anfield for many, many years to come.
