Neville's verdict on penalty call
In the 32nd minute of Liverpool's 2-2 draw with City, Phil Foden had the better of James Milner and charged into the box, but was halted in his tracks.

The Sky Sports pundit also gave his verdict on whether it should have been a penalty or not.

Players begged club to sign star
There are performances by opposing players which linger long in the memory. It’s not common for the man in question to then sign for the team he impressed against shortly afterwards though.
Yet this is exactly what happened in the case of Takumi Minamino, who joined Liverpool in January 2020.
Two years ago this week he was part of a Red Bull Salzburg team which gave the Reds a serious fright in a Champions League group game at Anfield.
Liverpool raced into a 3-0 lead but were later pegged back to 3-3 in huge part thanks to the efforts of Minamino. Mohamed Salah then scored to secure the points for the home side, but it was the Japanese international who had made the biggest impression on the night.
He was involved in almost everything the visitors did in an attacking sense that night.
Of the 10 shots Salzburg had, Minamino took three himself, set up three for his colleagues – including assisting Erling Haaland for the equaliser – and played the penultimate pass before two other goal attempts.
It’s no wonder Liverpool’s players were keen for their club to add him to their squad after they had seen him in the flesh – but the club had already been tracking the player for several years.
