Liverpool fans are loving Mohamed Salah goal with brilliant alternative commentary

Mohamed Salah produced another moment of magic in Liverpool’s win over Watford that left supporters drooling.

After firing in what was thought to be a goal of the season contender in his last Reds outing against Manchester City, Salah single-handedly danced through the Watford defence with an attempt to rival his previous effort.

It marked the 29-year-old’s eighth of the league season so far, with ten in as many games across all competitions, as he furthered the debate over whether the Liverpool man is currently the best footballer in the world.

A truly special goal, supporters gave added praise to fan-favourite commentator Peter Drury on social media, who provided alternative commentary on Salah’s solo effort for the Premier League’s international broadcasters.

“Salah, he wouldn’t do it again, would he? Mo Salah has,” he exclaimed as the forward curled his shot around Ben Foster.

“Deja vu, all over again. He twists a new set of blood.

“The man is ripping it out of defence, up and down the land!”

Taking on three Watford players on the edge of the box, he danced through Juraj Kucka and Cucho Hernadez, before twice beating Craig Cathcart.

The Northern Ireland international was sent sprawling the opposite as Salah checked back his run, before curling the ball beyond Foster.

Drury is a favourite of Liverpool fans for his commentary on other high profile matches, such as the 4-0 victory over Barcelona in 2019.

Claudio Ranieri, who was taking charge of Watford for the first time on Saturday, admitted his side had been up against one of the game’s best .

“I think if Salah's not the best then he’s one of the best in the world at this moment,” he said.

“Salah is in great condition and everything he touches is a goal. Well done for him and well done for Liverpool.

“You find out the truth when you are on the pitch against the big teams.”
