Liverpool fans bid an emotional farewell to Xherdan Shaqiri after the club confirmed his permanent move to Lyon on Monday.
The Swiss winger joined the Reds from Stoke in 2018 and was responsible for several memorable moments in his time at the club.
Shaqiri had been attracting interest throughout the summer and has now completed a reported £9.5m switch to France.

With a habit of performing on the big stage, the 29-year-old endeared himself to Liverpool supporters after he came off the bench to score a brace in a 3-1 win over Manchester United in December 2018.
His crowning achievement in a Reds shirt came on that famous night against Barcelona at Anfield - providing the assist for Gini Wijnaldum’s header to score Liverpool’s third on the night in their unforgettable 4-0 win to seal a place in the Champions League Final.
Though Shaqiri often found his game time limited through both injury and being back-up to Mohamed Salah, he also scored in Jurgen Klopp side’s 5-2 win over Everton in 2019.
In his final season at the club, the wide forward made 22 appearances across all competitions, before being a key figure in the Switzerland side that defeated France en route to the quarter-finals at Euro 2020.
A key squad member in some of the club’s most recent successes, Shaqiri will be fondly remembered by the Anfield faithful.
