Liverpool fans all say the same thing as Ibrahima Konate reacts to first Reds training session

Ibrahima Konate has expressed his delight on social media after his first training session with Liverpool on Monday, much to the delight of supporters across the world.

The new Liverpool number five emphatically announced his arrival with an eye-catching video short in his native France, and he joined up with his teammates for the first time this week after his £36m move from RB Leipzig.

Excitement for his impending transfer has been bubbling in recent months after it was first announced that the Reds were eyeing his services in March, with the official confirmation coming in May.

The Reds touched down in Salzburg on Sunday ahead of their pre-season in Austria where they will play four warm-up matches ahead of the new Premier League season.

A double-header 30-minute mini-game with FC Wacker Innsbruck and VfB Stuttgart could be the first opportunity for fans to see their new defender in action before matches against FSV Mainz 05 and Hertha Berlin round off the tour.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were amongst the group to report for the first day as they get up to speed ahead of the upcoming season, alongside the Reds' latest recruit.

Fans were desperate to see their new signing in action as the official channels of the club released images throughout the day as the players underwent lactate tests upon their first moments of pre-season, when their demands were met, their reactions did not disappoint.

There will also be an opportunity for the returning Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez to earn some competitive minutes as they all returned to first-team training on Monday.
