Liverpool fans all say the same thing after Premier League restart dates emerge

The date has been set for the Premier League’s return and, understandably, that’s got Liverpool fans rather excited.

Having been suspended back in March due to the coronavirus outbreak, the 2019/20 campaign is set to resume on June 17 as Project Restart edges ever nearer to its goal.

The season is set to get back underway with two games in hand as Aston Villa take on Sheffield United, and Arsenal face Manchester City.

A full fixture list will then be played on the weekend of June 19-21, with the Reds’ first game back being the Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park.

The news has come as a huge boost to Liverpool fans, whose dreams of a first league title since 1990 look set to become a reality very soon.

Having been runaway leaders when the season was suspended, Jurgen Klopp’s men have been left in limbo just six points away from glory.

Rival fans have revelled in talks of the season being declared null and void ever since, but with news of the league’s return, it looks as though the Reds will not be denied number 19.

Yes, Liverpool are six points away from the Premier League title – but they could very well get their hands on the trophy in their very first game back from their break.

With City taking on Arsenal in their game in hand on June 17, a defeat for Pep Guardiola’s men would leave Liverpool needing just one win to secure their long-awaited title.

And of course, that would mean winning it at Goodison Park

Roll on June 17!
