Liverpool fans all say the same thing after Manchester United beaten by City

Manchester United were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City on Saturday afternoon and Liverpool fans have poked fun at their rivals on social media.

The Reds thrashed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side 5-0 at Old Trafford a few weeks ago and the Manchester club were beaten again, this time by the current title holders.

The scoreline this afternoon wasn't quite as damaging, but the uproar is still there and Liverpool fans have weighed in on the situation.

'Ole's at the wheel' chants could be heard from City supporters today after similar chants were sung by Liverpool fans in recent weeks.

That sentiment has been echoed on social media, with supporters saying: "That’s a big improvement for United to only lose 2-0 at home to the mighty City, shows Ole is improving things. Stick with him."

Another supporter said: "Ole got yous to draw the second half. Keep him at the wheel @ManUtd please."

This was United's fourth league defeat of the season and they could find themselves as low as 10th in the table by the end of the match weekend.

Speculation over Solskjaer's future grew following the defeat to Liverpool and many felt the United boss was on borrowed time.

However, he reportedly has the backing of the United board and a win against Tottenham last weekend may have brought about some much-needed breathing space.
