Liverpool fans have been reacting on social media after the officials were confirmed for their clash against Aston Villa this weekend.
The Reds head to Villa Park on Saturday afternoon looking to maintain their six point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
But their mood has certainly been dampened after it was confirmed that Jon Moss will be in the man in the middle, while Martin Atkinson will be on VAR duty at Stockley Park .
Atkinson was the man responsible for Sadio Mane’s disallowed goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford last week, with the official also ruling that Divock Origi wasn’t fouled by Victor Lindelof in the build-up to Marcus Rashford’s opener.
While Moss, who was fourth official for the game at Old Trafford, is yet to take charge of a Liverpool game this season, with his last coming in January when he oversaw the Reds’ 4-3 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield.
But Liverpool fans reacting to the news on Twitter have been left less than impressed with the appointments.
