Liverpool fans all say the same thing about Mohamed Salah after Brighton victory

Liverpool fans have been reacting on social media after Mohamed Salah's brace helped their side to victory over Brighton.

The Reds continued their relentless pursuit of a Premier League points record with a 3-1 victory at the Amex Stadium.

Salah opened the scoring after just six minutes before Jordan Henderson added a second two minutes later.

Leandro Trossard then reduced the arrears on the stroke of half-time, but Salah struck again in the second half to hand his side all three points.

Salah was denied his hat-trick in the dying stages after Matt Ryan got down low to push away his header from a Sadio Mane cross.

And as the camera zoomed in on him after the full-time whistle it was clear to see how disappointed he was not to come away with the matchball.

And Reds fans reacting to the clip on Twitter were all quick to praise the hunger Salah showed and believe that is why he is one of the best forwards in world football.

Salah has now been directly involved in 100 Premier League goals for Liverpool, scoring 73 times and claiming 27 assists in 104 games.

The former Chelsea man becomes just the fourth player to do so for the Reds after Steven Gerrard (212), Robbie Fowler (158) and Michael Owen (148).

And speaking after the game, Salah said on his performance: "After I scored the third it made it calm again. I don't know why, but in my position I am doing really well.”

Salah won the Golden Boot in his first campaign with the Reds but was forced to share the gong with Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last season.

The brace against Brighton has taken him to within three goals of current leader Jamie Vardy, and Salah, when asked about the race for the Golden Boot, said: “Let’s take it game by game.”
