Liverpool fans all say the same thing about Chelsea penalty and Steve McManaman agrees

Liverpool fans have vented their frustration about what they believe was a wrong decision in the UEFA Super Cup clash with Chelsea - and they have the backing of their former midfielder.

The Reds took the lead in extra time thanks to Sadio Mane's stunning strike but their 2-1 advantage did not last long, as Adrian was judged to have brought down Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham inside the box.

Replays were certainly not convincing as to whether the decision was correct, with it unclear if Adrian genuinely made contact with the young Blues forward.

Liverpool supporters quickly took to social media to make their case to state the wrong decision was made and, speaking at the interval in extra time, McManaman agreed with their verdict.

"I don't think it's a penalty to be honest but I don't think the keeper should be there to allow Tammy Abraham to make a decision," he told BT Sport.
