Liverpool fans all say the same thing about Amad Diallo's goal celebration for Manchester United

Liverpool fans were in a mischievous mood on Thursday night after spotting something rather familiar about Amad Diallo's goal celebration for Manchester United.

The 18-year-old joined the Red Devils from Atalanta in January and was making only his third appearance for the club as they hosted AC Milan in the Europa League.

Coming on as a half-time substitute, he opened the scoring in the 50th minute with a 'no-look' backwards header, though Liverpool fan Simon Kjaer's late goal earned a 1-1 draw for the Serie A giants.

But it was Diallo's goal celebration which was the focus of Reds supporters' attentions on social media following his strike as the Ivorian covered one eye with his eye.

Liverpool fans were quick to point out the similarity with a Roberto Firmino goal celebration from September 2018 after the Brazilian scored a last-minute winner against Paris Saint-Germain, just days after suffering an eye injury and having been left a doubt for the game.

And while it is unlikely that a Manchester United player would be paying tribute to the Reds man, that didn't stop supporters from tongue-in-cheek suggesting otherwise on Twitter.
