Liverpool fans all say same thing about opening game after release of Premier League 2019/20 fixtures

It was announced on Thursday that Liverpool will host Norwich City at Anfield on the opening day of the 2019/20 Premier League season.

This fixture has been , particularly as the last time the two teams met in the first game of the campaign - in 1989 - Kenny Dalglish's then side went on to win the title.

But fans have all called for one player's return following the fixture list release .

Ex-Reds' talisman Luis Suarez certainly enjoyed his meetings with the Canaries, scoring a record 12 goals in five games.

The Barcelona forward was in punishing form every time he faced the East Anglians, and made history by becoming the first player to score three hat-tricks in consecutive league appearances against the same club.

There is no wonder then why fans, in their numbers, have demanded the signing of their former idol.

One supporter wrote: "If there's any further reason needed to re-sign Luis Suarez, we start the next season against Norwich."

Another fan added: "So we've got Norwich on the first game of the season, if only we had a certain Mr Suarez."

While one Twitter user thinks Mohamed Salah can take up Suarez' mantle, they wrote: "Lovely Friday night start. Hoping Salah takes up the Suarez mantle against Norwich."
