Liverpool fans all notice the same thing about Curtis Jones goal against Shrewsbury Town

Liverpool fans have been hailing the improvement made by Pedro Chirivella after the youngster set up Curtis Jones against Shrewsbury Town.

Chirivella joined the Reds’ Academy in the summer of 2013 from Valencia, and made his first-team debut in a Europa League meeting with Bordeaux in France on September 17.

The 22-year-old then enjoyed loan spells in Holland and Spain before returning to the club in the summer.

So far this season, the Spaniard has made three appearances in the Carabao Cup.

But it was his role in the Reds’ win over Everton in the third round of the FA Cup that caught the eye of the Anfield faithful.

Handed another start against Shrewsbury this afternoon, Chirivella helped the Reds open the scoring against the League One side, when his pass set Jones away, before the 18-year-old finished confidently past Max O'Leary in the Town goal.

And below is some of the reaction from Twitter to the midfielder's performance:

Chirivella, who typically operates in the No.6 midfield role, penned a new long-term deal with the Reds in the summer of 2016, but is yet to feature in the Premier League for the Anfield club.
