Liverpool fan meets David Beckham buying a snack in Tesco petrol station

A Liverpool fan had the surprise of his life when he met David Beckham in Tesco.

Nick Wilson was filling up his car with fuel when he casually bumped into the football legend.

According to Nick, Beckham was buying a snack at the service station kiosk in Clevedon, North Somerset when customers started to recognise who he was.

Nick told Bristol Live:"I was a little stepped back yes, another customer said 'hey David, can you wait whilst I get my phone?'

“I recognised him by the tattoo on the back of his neck.

“I’ve been a fan of his for many years, so it was awesome to say hello."

Despite his allegiance to the Reds, Nick couldn't help but ask Beckham for a selfie.

Nick continued: "He is a legend, although I’m a big Liverpool fan.

“The woman behind the till almost fainted when she asked me who it was.”

Beckham is understood to be at Clevedon Town Football Club cheering on his son Romeo.

Bristol City's Player Loan Manager Brian Tinnion tweeted: “Nice to see David Beckham here tonight @ClevedonTownFC watching his son playing...And he is good.”
