Liverpool fan hijacks Manchester Airport Tannoy and his message goes down a storm

It takes a brave Scouser to invade enemy territory of Manchester and claim the ground as their own.

But that’s exactly what this Liverpool fan did en route to the Champions League Final in Madrid.

He grabbed grabbed control of the sound system at Manchester Airport to send a special message that has gone down well in Liverpool, if not the city of their fierce north-west of England rivals.

Anyone inside the terminal on Tuesday morning would have heard the hilarious moment unfold as a supporter made a big announcement, reports the Echo .

The fan is behind a check-in desk and grabs hold of the microphone.

Speaking over the Tannoy, he announces: "Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention please.

"There is something that the Kop wants you to know, the best in the world is Bobby Firmino."

The lyrics are of course from Roberto Firmino's popular chant which has been sung by Liverpool fans all season.
