A crop-haired Liverpool fan who decided to let it grow until they lost a league match has finally cut it – after nine months.
Luke Stangroom made the vow after his team won the Champions League in June last year.
But little did the 43-year-old know the Reds were 17 games into what would turn out to be a 44-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Luke got the chop on Sunday after they lost 3-0 to Watford.
The forklift driver, from Norwich, said: “I’ve been a skinhead as long as I can remember because I’m receding quite badly.
“It was only a joke and I only thought it would last a couple months.
“Towards the end I was wanting a haircut quite badly. It did look a mess.”
