Adrian is a doubt for Liverpool's visit to Southampton after being injured by A FAN during celebrations of their Uefa Super Cup win.
The Spaniard was the hero of the Reds' victory over Chelsea in Istanbul on Wednesday, saving Tammy Abraham's decisive penalty in the shootout following a 2-2 draw.
But that moment of glory quickly turned sour for the goalkeeper as he was left in pain following a bizarre incident.
A supporter who had rushed the pitch at Besiktas' Vodafone Arena slipped as he reached Adrian, inadvertently causing an injury to his ankle.
And Jurgen Klopp has now revealed that it could cause the former West Ham man to miss out on Saturday's trip to St Mary's.
"[The Super Cup] would help him a lot if it would be 100percent clear that he could play tomorrow," said Klopp.
"When we were all together, a supporter jumped over something, was chased by some security guys, slipped, and kicked his ankle. Crazy. Yesterday it was swollen, today I spoke to him he said it's much better than yesterday but we have to see. But apart from that, yes, it was a brilliant night for him for sure."
Adrian was making his first start for the club in Turkey as a result of the calf injury Alisson Becker picked up against Norwich last Friday.
And any injury to the Reds' back-up goalkeeper would be exacerbated by Klopp's lack of options in that department.
Irish youngster Caoimhin Kelleher is still short of match fitness as he continues to recover from the wrist surgery he underwent this summer.
That could mean a chance for veteran shot-stopper Andy Lonergan (below), who was recently signed to a short-term contract to help alleviate Liverpool's goalkeeping crisis.
