Liverpool face an in-form Porto on incredible winning streak

Porto travel to Anfield on the back of a win and full of confidence as they prepare to face Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals tomorrow night.

While Jurgen Klopp's Reds had to come from a goal down to see off a brave Southampton side on Friday, Porto eased past Boavista with a 2-0 win on the same night.

The win now sees the Portuguese outfit sit second in the league table behind Benfica, with goal difference the only factor separating the sides.

Otavio and Tiquinho Soares were on target either side of half time at the Estadio do Dragao allowing the home side to make changes in order to rest key players.

Danilo Pereira, Jesus Corona and goalscorer, Soares were all substituted as the crucial game with Liverpool loomed closer.

The last time Porto met Liverpool in the Champions League, they were brushed aside by the five-time winners.

However, the Dragons will be confident going into this tie if their prior outings in this competition are anything to go by.

In the previous round (last 16) Porto looked set to be heading for penalties with Roma before they were awarded a spot-kick of their own in the 117th minute of extra time.

Alex Telles, who scored the penalty to send Porto through, looks set to miss the clash with Liverpool due to a hip injury.

Former Real Madrid man, Pepe, will also miss the game at Anfield through suspension.

But Porto will arrive at Anfield on a fantastic run of form, having won eight out of their last 10 games in all competitions.
