Having been endlessly linked with a move to the Premier League, most notably Chelsea in 2019, Samuel Chukwueze has become a figure of note on the European football scene once more.
The Nigerian winger, who won't be at the 2022 World Cup after his side failed to qualify, hasn't had a prolific season at Villarreal so far but caught the eye in a 9-0 win over Amalia in the Copa Del Rey earlier this week after scoring and assisting two in just 55 minutes.
Unfortunately for the 23-year-old, that accounts for 40% of his goal contributions this season after failing to score in the opening 13 league games.

It was Chelsea that wanted to snap him up in 2019 after catching the eye as an exciting teenager, with Frank Lampard being a big fan and wanting to add him to Chelsea's squad. The £50m valuation was seen as steep for the time though and the Blues would instead sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax for £30m.
Chukwueze had a much higher price on his head at that point, with Sport now saying bidding in the summer will open at £35m. This alone is unlikely to be enough to get him to the Premier League though, as Jurgen Klopp's men are said to be just one of numerous teams chasing him across Europe.
Chelsea themselves have struggled in the forward areas ever since being linked with Chukwueze, but his attacking output - never scoring more than five in a league season and only managing three last year - doesn't spring off the page as being the answer to Graham Potter's issues.
Ziyech himself has been part of an expensively assembled group that have failed to hit the expected heights at Stamford Bridge, and his 14 goals in 92 games only sums up the wider struggles of Chelsea attackers since Tammy Abraham hit 15 goals in Lampard's first season.
Potter may well now have to wait to offload Ziyech before his replacement comes in though and that could hold up their attempts to sign Rafael Leao or Leandro Trossard.
